A new networking and teaching tool for home schoolers by home schoolers has hit cyberspace.
Computer specialist and home-school dad Ed Wells recently launched the website HomeSchoolViewTube.com. The site is “YouTube-ish” in design, and visitors can create free networking profiles and upload videos.
“[W]e were looking for a site [through which] home-school families could share ideas and…show each other how we teach math or how we teach English or how we teach history, science — what have you,” he explains.
Channels set up on the new website thus far include the typical education-related topics one would expect, such as history, math, literature, and science and technology. But it also includes subject areas one might associate only with Christian home schoolers — creation science, Bible, comparative religion, marriage, and parenting, for example.
