U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrested 187 undocumented immigrants in three of Florida’s biggest cities — Miami, Tampa and Orlando — during a two-week operation, the agency announced Thursday.

Among those detained were criminal convicts, foreign nationals accused of ignoring deportation orders and other immigration law violators, the agency said.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement periodically makes announcements on roundups of undocumented immigrants in Florida, but in some cases arrests — which are always taking place — are not announced. The last big roundup was announced in June when 61 immigration law violators were picked up.
